Geographic & Regional Datasets
Region, geography level, location identifier, source, denominator, and verification fields for comparable place-based analysis.
A location field does not make two rows geographically comparable. One may describe a city, another a county, and a third a service area with no physical boundary. This category keeps geography level and source attached to the observation.
Current geographic products
- The Regional Demand Density Dataset keeps raw demand, geography level, denominator, and normalized density together.
- The Real Estate Search Dataset joins property-topic research to declared regional markets.
What makes regional data reusable
Use stable location identifiers when they exist. Store the human-readable place name as well. Keep the source year beside population or other denominators, and compare rows only when the topic, geography level, and time window match.
Use Local Business And Market Datasets when the main record is a business or service provider rather than a regional observation.
